I really like your color palette. It's nice and warm, ties the page together, and since brown is normally associated with older times, it gives the comic a sense of being in another time. And the coloring itself is so smooth. ^_^

Thanks for the comment:) Hope you enjoy the comic.

Heyyyy-that wasn't about crayons. That wasn't about crayons at all! Now I have to go and find crayon based fan-fiction :(

Kuroni (Guest), 15 Jun 2012 08:29 pm

Question. Is this related in any way to "Goblins" the webcomic revolving around the same concept?

Turnip (Guest), 30 Jun 2012 10:05 am

Cheap swindle! The fuck? Where's the gnoll babe in the adlink? This is tauren manure!

peteranckorn, 30 Jun 2012 10:26 am

She's in the comic-just keep on read'n. I think pg 13 of chapter 2 is her first appearance(if you want to zoom straight to the good stuff ;)). You can also see more of her in the bonus chapter (see my own site-link in my profile info). All my ad links are taken from actual comic pages though-not made just to lure people in. Certainly not a swindle-whilst there is a lot of T&A in this comic I'm afraid there are a few pages where everyone is modestly dressed. I apologise for this whole heartedly ;)

Smashing! I took one look at the guy in the armor, and immediately thought "Nigel Thornberry!" Did that happen to anyone else?

peteranckorn, 06 Jul 2012 07:19 am

That voice could work for him :)-Tim Curry, wasn't it?

Ajedi32 (Guest), 08 Sep 2012 02:03 pm

... Oh, this looks like an interesting webcomic. Hey... wait a minute, haven't I seen this story concept somewhere before? It seems awfully similar to "Goblins".

Did you arrive at this idea independently or did you you get inspiration from there?

Anyway, it looks pretty interesting so far.

inversia, 13 Sep 2012 10:54 am

Interchange I'll watch your comic, why don't go to see mine either? xD

peteranckorn, 13 Sep 2012 11:38 am

Sounds good-I'll take a look :)

peteranckorn, 19 Sep 2012 11:24 am

Ajedi32 -

I didn't set out to copy 'Goblins', although the basic premise is certainly similar (monsters become adventurers). Luckily the mood of the comic is very different-my comic is mostly quite silly and light hearted vs the funny, but also quite dark world of 'Goblins'.

Actually I've always liked monster characters-so making comics with them as the main characters rather than a novelty was a natural step for me. My first attempt was 'Goblin Hero' back in 2003. You can still find scraps of it scattered around the internet from time to time.

My main influences are Akira Toriyama, Fred Perry and Dragon Half. Thanks a lot for the interest in my work. Hope you enjoy the read ;)

Yes-that advert certainly has a lot to answer for ;)

Gourdsman (Guest), 10 Oct 2012 09:26 pm

Excellent comic! Just read the whole thing in one night, and really glad to have found it.

Fun story, and interesting character!

I was wondering though, is there any way to see the past incentive pics, for those that just found the comic (like myself)?

peteranckorn, 11 Oct 2012 06:44 am

Hi-glad you like it :) Past incentives can be seen on my squarespace site (see my profile) or on my DA account-
There is some mature stuff on my site-nothing too wild, but I thought I'd give you a warning. Enjoy :)

Oh we're having the 'Goblins' conversation again? Check the archives. This is old meme. The 'Goblins' creator weighed in and said BTB was cool and everything....although I couldn't help but notice this comic has PICTURES! Other comics have PICTURES. rip. off.

badband4 (Guest), 23 Apr 2014 05:29 pm

censorship I really think you need to make this NSFW. It reminds me of when I was living in Japan!

willky7, 01 Oct 2014 10:11 am

well this is a nice change to my pokemon comics.

Kaiton, 05 Oct 2014 07:56 am

A-and you, Sir, just got one more fan! I just started reading, but already am fascinated.
I really like how your characters are breaking the 4th wall by referring to the rules of the book.

peteranckorn, 05 Oct 2014 09:12 am

Welcome aboard, Kaiton-I hope you enjoy the comic :)
